Yorkshire Alfa Romeo Owners Club Meet

I was at this at the weekend plugging for business, met a couple of nice people who've been to the unit before including one we've done work for and he still happy with the car. Always a bonus.

The best first. A 101 series coupe (Giulietta) which I was openly drooling over. Gorgeous 60's Italian styling and I'd have one in a heartbeat.

The first Montreal I've ever seen in the flesh. They're nice I guess but not really my cup of tea. Also quite rare.

Nice blue Kammtail Spider in fantastic condition.

A gorgeous RHD 105 series GTC, which was the convertible version of the GTV and only 99 of them were built. This is the first I have seen in the flesh and they are incredibly rare.

An early boat-tail Spider owned by a guy we've met before, what he doesn't know about engines isn't worth knowing. The engine in this is absolutely spot-on and tuned to perfection.

All metal 1750 GTV in very good condition. Always good to see.

This is my 2000 GTV, with a 1750 grille as it's much nicer looking, that's going up for sale shortly. Completed by my business. Full accurate fiberglass body (no on realised it was until we told them) and a highly tuned 2ltr engine with the earlier 1750 interior as again it's much nicer looking.

And the engine bay because I'm unashamedly business whoring.

alfameet9.jpg

A nice sprint.

I have no idea what this is.. it was fugly but started to grow on me like a cancerous sore.

Forgive me for wanting to grope and hump this, I reeeeeeally like the new 4C. I wouldn't put down £45k on a new one, but I still really like them. Alfa are finally back to making proper sports cars.

An utterly immaculate sprint. This won the peoples choice award at the show.

Now for some shitey chod. Mmmmmm...

alfameet14.jpg

Probably all broken down.

This was very interesting. It's a Lancia Volumex.

Something you don't see every day. This is a GTAm, a racing GTA with an aluminium body and wider flared arches. They are worth a great deal of money.

Although this one was probably worth less as it has incorrect wheels and the wrong engine. Mind you, the engine it had in certainly impressed me, how they managed to fit the Alfa V6 in there and plumb it in properly is anyone's guess.

There were three of these Zagato's at the show. They're quirky and I like them a lot. I would happily own one.

An absolutely immaculate blue sprint. One of my favourites at the show. Love the colour and it's nice to see something that isn't Alfa red.

alfameet22.jpg

And it's engine bay, also absolutely immaculate.

I did go to two other shows but didn't get any pictures due to having to leave early because I wasn't feeling well. Not a good weekend health-wise but definitely a good weekend for cars. Pity the weather was so overcast.

SZ ES30. 1036 were built, making it one of the rarest production Alfas of EVAH.

Where was this held? I wish I'd known, I could have taken my Cherry Europe and got refused entry.

I remember the first time I saw an SZ in real life, I was sooooo disappointed with the rear end. I had only ever seen the front of it in magazines and it looked well fit but the back end looks like something they did at 4.45 on a Friday afternoon.

It was at the York Air Museum.

I went there in my Triumph GT6 (colleague drove the GTV) and parked it on the end.. got some amused looks but no one told me to move.  :P

The Yorkshire Alfa Club are carrying out extensive investigations as to who it was that turned up at their prestigious event in a Red 1967 TRACTOR
