That'll put you on the roundabout, if you look down you'll see the bridge supports and all the walkway detail is still the same.

The housing behind the garage is still there but the garage is now a Farmfoods.

There was also a tram/bus terminus there according to this page.

Thanks for the links - for all the wonderful things the motorcar has brought us, these before and after pics show just how much it has torn through and torn up previously pleasant places - and how much space modern roads need. Also how utterly un-human modern architecture is.
