Local show pics (for Local people)

No, it wasn't a patch on SF14, but it was the only show I attended this weekend, so there. I give you the Anglesey Vintage Equipment Society's annual bash.

And I'll play one of the aces right up front:

Moving swiftly on, these were rather impressive. An incredibly rare Fiat Tipo (ya rly), a Tracta (with newfangled FWD tosh), and an Amilcar which made me grin an awful lot:

This was easily the most gorgeous car there by a mile, unfortunately I couldn't get a decent shot of the stunning side profile as those two imbeciles WOULDN'T MOVE:

Flat-caps and concours trophies ahoy! Bet this is rather good fun:

SEKSHEWAL:

This still does daily-driving duties by all accounts:

I imagine this is rather a rarity? No, I have no idea why the owner was vomiting into the bed:

Not sure why this appealed to me, but it did - very neat little thing. Also, check the incredible colour on the Wolseley Daimler next door:

Obligatory rally slaaaaaaags:

One for Louise2CV:

And one for me, yes, ME! I actually want this car so much it hurts. I'm currently chugging Tramadol to try and quell the pain caused by its absence from my life:

In the words of Placebo, 'whadda gas, whadda beautiful ass'.

Some random commercials:

And last but not least, my favourite 2-wheeler of the w/e:

Actually, honourable mention must go to the owner of this, a quiet and neatly-dressed elderly chap, who proceeded to RAG it mercilessly round the parade enclosure, hassling the Triumphs and Nortons like a nutter:

And that's all I can be arsed posting up. Here's a link to my album: http://imgur.com/a/xKMmg#0 where you will find literally 25 other photos, including unmodified Minis, a pair of HA Vivas, and two Field Marshall tractors. (I should point out that there were dozens of really nice vintage tractors there, but they were all parked further away from our stand than I could be bothered to walk, and I missed most of their parade. Deal with it.)

Laterz, biatches.

Are you sure that's a Wolseley, it looks more like a Daimler Conquest from that angle?

You could very well be right! My head was probably still spinning from the mint Wolseley landcrab that I'd just seen. Still a gorgeous colour, though.

EDIT: Checking the high-res version, the logo on the hub-caps does look a lot like the 'D' logo

I could have made the trek on Saturday night, but as I'd been sitting for 8 hours in a drafty barn with a woodturning lathe on one side and a miniature railway on the other, with about a thousand people bumbling about, I doubt I'd have been very good company, assuming I even stayed awake :-D

Great stuff, some nice cars there then espesh that PB although those  wheels would  have to  go....I agree with you about the twots who stand and shuffle about.   WTF is wrong with them.  Rummaging in their stupid bags, texting their Mum or, as I seem increasingly to find these days, practising to be a statue.   They don't have  get narky if you ask them to move too.
