Car jacks with axle type cuerved saddle

Recommended Posts

Gentlemen,

I'm on the lookout for a new bottle jack and I was wondering what vehicles had the type of jack in the title.

I know Merc Sprinter ones are curved saddle and so are the G-Wagon (sort of). Landy ones have upped in price.

Any other out there that you can think of. I was going to pap this in wanted section but it got me thinking. I don't expect many replies, but any of the truck bods on here have any info as anything from 2 up to 20 tonnes would be grand.

My landcruiser has a bottle jack with what looks like a tie down cleat on the top it sits under the axle fine.

Cool. Is that a turny one and not a pump one?

Early sprinters also came with 2 really good quality tyre levers.

56 ish reg sprinters have nice pumpy hydraulic jacks with decent handles.

I wish I'd misappropriated more than three from the old works vans.

They weigh a ton and are rated at five ton (i think?)

It's too late to go to the shed now.

This reminds me of a pair of axle stands that I have, which used to have curved saddles - until I asked a mate to reverse one of my cars and instead, he put it in first and smashed the other car in the face, so the stands slipped off the chassis rails and landed on the floorpans.

Yep. I used to get 'em for less than a tenner and now they are in the 20 - 40 bracket (or more). Are yours for sale?
