Exporters to Africa - getting more £ than taking it over the bridge

Does anyone have experience of selling a car which is to be exported to Africa or another place where they value good chod, like old Mercs? Was it you, warren t claim, who mentioned in a post last year you might be able to help?

I managed to 'successfully' endure a Ryanair flight with this book about some Dutch youth that took his shagged out old Merc to Africa in search of a profit/cheap holiday.
