Just a quick update on this, well I'm pretty thrilled with this car.  It's the most exotic thing I've had since a 504 Coupe 20 odd years ago, and probably just as fragile.  I think I've been quite lucky with this one; have managed to sort out quite a few cosmetic things myself like re-fitting door trims and various other bits which needed sourcing and replacing.  Most serious work required was a new radiator which wasn't too severe.  Think it's going to become my daily driver which will mean mothballing the 405 (for when this breaks down....)   And it seems to be managing 24mpg around the Devon lanes which I can live with.

P.S.  Quick tip for removing scratches from plastic bumpers - use Photoshop
