The battery in my sd1 is no longer for this earth.

 

I have a battery from my diesel vectra which is more than man enough, but unfortunately the terminals are the wrong way round.

 

TBH it is a bit on the large side for the tray, but I don't fancy forking out £70+ when I have a perfectly good battery doing nowt.

 

Any advice?

If it fits the tray / holddown clamp etc toddle down to a scrappy and come away with long enough cables to replace the ones you have and swap ends. :-D

Turn the battery round and find a longer earth cable that will reach back to the negative side. The positive cable should still reach ok with the terminals the other way round?

By the way, if your SD1 still has a battery tray intact you musy have a good one Bren 8)

It is about the only part of the main structure that was intact.
