a bit of a clear out - 

first up is a 2 tonne Bateson's trailer in very good condition, low miles, great tyres and spare, great lights, hitch etc. NB will only carry loads less than 1050! so great for BX shite for 240! Shitters bargain price £750...length 5m width 2m (load bed)

 

 

a Western Trailers high speed diesel bowser - 1100 lts, recent paint job Shitters price £900

 

1957 International Harvester B250 tractor with loader and very rare cab. Been in use all life till recently, needs a starter motor or repair to existing one.

Lancia Beta Coupe 1.6 in poo brown project. Only 36,000 miles, needs some welding but probably one of the least rusty ones I have ever seen, bodywork good except for some of the underside, bonnet, boot, trim need refitting, clutch and engine need attention - mostly due to lack of use, needs brakes and suspension.

Does that trailer weigh 950kg (2000kg gross weight minus the 1050kg capacity)? Surely not.

 

If so it’s flipping LOLworthy how you need to use a 1000kg trailer to tow a 1000kg car legally, but using a 20kg A-frame is a no-no.

That can't be 950kg surely? A new Bateson like that is only about 560kg.

The Bateson is 12 years old, it was a custom 2000kg job for moving a hot air balloon, basket, burner and gas and envelope. Just sold it today to a bloke who does powerboat racing on south coast and drives down from Lothian during the summer  He needs a high speed trailer to turn into a boat trailer for the powerboat.

 

Bollox - towing law is a total joke in this country, confusing and nonsensical! this is a braked trailer - I put a 1050 on the back of it and get nicked but I can tow it with an a frame!! It is a heavy bit of kit, all steel, weighs as much as our sankey - doesn't look it though!

 

We need a 3.5 tonner - we've got a 2 tonne box trailer and a 'sankey' rapier missile ammo trailer which lugs 3 tonnes.
