Re the Poundland stuff - in fairness to the traders selling them there, they were first available around twelve - eighteen months ago at a trade price of about £1.50 + VAT so if they are selling 'em at £3-4 thats fair enough as I would imagine they didn't get them from poundland

Fair comment, I understand, and I did buy a couple anyway!  But, I did swerve the ones I can rely on finding for a quid; of those, I've mostly got what I want now.  Although maybe a few extra Ladas and Volgas wouldn't go amiss, for the project pile... ;-)   Perhaps another visit is called for when I'm delivering tomorrow...

Nah, I'm having a rest from DIY for a week or two.  Got plenty to be doing when I get back into it though, not least being the model garage I picked up at a show in the summer.  I've got some nice thin ply to replace the floors and roof ;-)  but before that, I need to get my shelves sorted out, which in turn will free up my workbench (3-piece corner office desk).

Then there are several boxes of models to unpack........

In case it matters, here's what I bought at the fair...

Oxford Diecast HA van x2

Corgi "Walls" Ergomatic artic

Volga estate airport car

Lada Niva fire truck

Talbot Horizon copcar

Citroen Visa copcar

Ford Mustang "Fox"

Ford Crown Vic Russian copcar

Ford Transit Dutch cop van

Alfa Romeo Giulia copcar

and a small-scale Chevy Caprice.

Not a bad little haul, I think.  Some of them are pictured above, courtesy of Hairnet.  Some expansion of my World Police fleet, a bit of American bias as per usual and two models (the HA vans) to repaint as vans I've owned.  Which is a bit of a shame as they are mint in blisters, but I haven't seen them any other way yet.  Several of these are models I've been chasing on ebay for a while, and bought at roughly what I would have been prepared to pay at auction.  Biggest single investment was the Walls truck, fifteen whole English pounds (MIB).  I feel ill now, spending that much!
