I thinking about selling my 205 CTi, Had it since the Spring as a replacement for my much loved Fulvia. It's ticked all the boxes, great fun to drive, pretty reliable and goes like the clappers.

Originally bought new by a chap in the Police, it was specified with a few additions including an immobiliser, power steering (which wasn't available for the 205 at the time, so Peugeot Specialist Tuning modified a 309 system for the car at great expense), mudflaps and an upgraded soundsystem. This guy kept a detailed log of anything done to the car, he changed the oil every 1500 miles had it waxoiled annually and was meticulous to say the least!

It's been through a couple of owners since him, but there is a great wedge of bills and history with the car. It's completely standard - apart from the 'from new' modifications listed above.

It could do with a few cosmetics, there is some little scabs coming through on the front wings. The drivers seat needs a new bolster cover - they all do, if you drive with the window open in the rain, the hood/'A' pillar join drips water on to the bolster knackering the fabric. However a passenger seat can be modded to fit. The body is red, so a tad faded, but does polish up well. The rear arches show signs of repair.

The hood is in good condition, a couple of tiny tears at the base, but it's water tight and has had a new rear screen section recently so it's nice and clear.

Mechanically it's great, the rear beam is in good condition, no creaks or groans, and the rear camber angle is correct. The engine is strong and willing - the 1.6's rev better than the 1.9's. Brakes are all good, Wheels are the standard 1.6 Pepperpots and have no damage. Tyres are Vredsteins on the front and Yokos on the back with lots of tread.

The car had recently had new ignition leads, plugs, dizzycap and rotor, two brand new headlights and is supplied with two brand new complete driveshafts which I picked up as the offside CV joint is getting a little rumbly on hard acceleration. It's not bad but the parts are there when they are needed. It's also had a new Alternator.

It's been a pleasure to own and run, and I'm not overly fussed about selling it. Mileage is 119k, but this will increase as it's my daily driver. It's MOT'd until May next year I think, and will come with 6 months tax. Insurance costs me £160 per year on a classic policy (mid 30's, garaged but City Centre postcode).

Price is pretty firm, but may be interested in something in part exchange, however it would need to be old enough to be eligible for classic insurance.
