My polo "breadvan" mk2.

Was on 7500 miles when I bought it and 18000 when I sold it, fantastic car, never had an issue, taken a year to get its replacement to a similar level of reliability.

Would have it back in an instant.

A mk1 110 Escort. belonged to my girlfriend though I bought it for her, borrowed it one day to go to work and a cop car ran into the back of it! Popped the boot and bent the rear panel. Police used EVERY excuse in the book to NOT repair it.

As I felt guilty, I bought it (again!) from my girlfriend so she could get another car (another MK1 Escort) and I kept the 1100 as we were waiting for the police to cough up. Eventually realised they were never going to, so I pulled the back panel out and got another bootlid from the scrappies (in bloody pink!). Then started buggering about with it....

1600 crossflow, webber carb, flared arches, bucket seats etc.... it spent a couple of years in grey primer and looking like that. No carpets, no trim other than doorcards and a dashboard and I absolutely fuckin' loved it! I used it in preference to the Jag I had at the time and the Jag stayed in the garage for ages.

Then, I sprayed it.

Lovely job, gleaming white with bubble arches and big steel wheels (already on) and put all the interior back in.... hated it from then on! Sold it within a few weeks. Should have left it in primer, missed that car.

I regret selling the Peugeot 205 I just had. Really want it back. It had to go, it wasn't practical to keep it. Still, the previous owner bought it back off me so I know it's gone to a good home. Who knows, I may buy it back off him in a year or two.

Also wish I'd kept my Fiat Uno 45S - was my first car and it was brilliant in every way except when it wasn't. And my AX 10E. And my Stilo. To be honest I'd wish I'd kept most of my shite. There are some I was glad to see the back of.
