Relatively good news for Saab owners and lovers

The other good news (sort of) is that the scrap yards are full of them because nobody wants them! :(

(* well, the newer ones anyway).

When I went to collect the red 216 from Chez Vulgalour, I saw only three obviously broken down or abandoned cars.

They were all SAABs about a decade old.

Normally the roads around here are LITTERED with broken down BMWs and Audis for some reason.  Most of them in the 3-7 year old bracket.

I must admit I lost interest in saab when GM took over. ditto volvo/ford

That's invariably what's broken down at the side of the motorway near me. I suspect it's because German cars are reliable*, which most people think means 'don't ever need servicing'.

One of my chums in work had a 2000 9-3, he just scrapped it due to advanced chassis/bulkhead rust. rather worrying.
