Ooh, that's very close to being a Vauxhall Royale (or Viceroy) estate. Smart. :)

Like the Visa GTi as well, we just don't think of you upside down people getting these little Froggy cars as well.

 

 

The Holden version of the Commodore had an elongated front to accommodate larger engines, rather like Royales and Senators, though I've never really been able to detect much of a difference between the two. Australia got the 205 GTi but not a lot of other interesting stuff, as I was reading a local test of a Renault 20 a while back and it seemed that every spec of each foreign model sold had to be separately type approved, so wasn't worth the hassle having a large range back in the day. No such silly rules in NZ I think, which is why it feels like at least one of every car ever sold exists here. The Visa was a 'cut price' version of the 205 GTi but still on par with a V8 Commodore, so sales weren't great...
