A couple of weeks ago I went to what can best be described as a very local classic vehicle show in Carnforth. Amid the beautiful backdrop there were a smattering of old cars - but they were outnumbered by classic Lister Petter generators and umpteen tractors.

Let's get things kicked off with the poverty spec Car That Wasn't A Capri, the Probe 16valve.

A nice jelly mould Mk2 GTE 16valve.

Pair of pre-war Austins.

Riley RM, of which variant I know not. His mate had a rather lovely Nine tourer but was not happy with me photographing it.

All I could get of the Nine.

I did like, and that Steyr-Puch is a great little thing.  How strange that someone at a car show wouldn't let you photograph their car.

Aww, I wish I had known you were going I would have said hi and you could have come back to my pile down the road in Capenwray for a brew and slice of cake.

It sort of happens every year at that farm it seems to be more a collection of friends and young farmers than any sort of proper classic car club from what I can make out.

Green Landrover in first pic centre is Series 1. The grey one in 2nd pic is Series 2.

S1 = dead straight sides.

S2 = sticky out hinges.

Ahh, Im a bugger for not looking at every thread Im afraid - best way is to message me through the board (PM) as I'll probably see that.

Anyway, its quite likely they will have it again next May bank weekend so I'll get the kettle on and some cake in as my place is only 10 mins from the farm. Its quite lovely round there and I would like to retire there permenantly but that would mean trying to find a job in a GP practice because I'll be buggered if Im going to work at Lancaster General.

They had the national sheepdog trials in O.K. last summer- there was some Grade A chod parked up there as well, proper old boy stuff, bought new and maintained and run into the ground style Rangies, Landys and Subaru's.

Cheers for sharing those photos, I very much enjoyed them. That Land-Rover camper thing looks like a great* way to go camping.

Not being allowed to photo that Riley is very odd though. Maybe it's allergic to it or something...
