Bike question

Maybe somebody knows the answer to this one...

 

I have a 1992 Suzuki GSXR750Wn in excellent condition and a measly 17k on the clock.

 

The bike was a parallel import, the only difference being the headlight is on whenever the key is turned.

 

I am curious about the country of origin, the VIN plate is on the N/S of the frame and has the word federal on it, which immediately make me think the good ol' US of A, however I am not sure if all the VIN have this.

 

The bike has a vance and hines can (fookin loud) which made me think america as you can get their bits over here, however they are a US firm and their parts are not huge sellers over here.

 

Any ideas?

That does sound like a Yank model, The V & H silencer is pretty much a give away. Still a good machine though. Online forum that could 100% confirm?
