Evening all.

As the snow has finally cleared enough that the Ginetta is off to pastures new tomorrow, I'm after a CHEAP roofless vehicle for hot spring* lols. At least 2 seats, more welcome. Manual box, MOT and relative nearness to Sheffield preferred. Realistic budget about £500  , so no, I'm not expecting too much... (Targa/t-top does count)

Anyone got owt?

At risk of ticking all the usual too far/if only I had the cash boxes... The thought of a 4-5 hour drive back in a car where I may not be able to pop the bonnet does fill me with an unusual amount of trepidation. I also HATE THE SOUTH. The price is right though!

Is a Mégane Convertible too hairdresser for you?

I bought an 03 1.6 Privilège+ off Motorhog for £425 last October - dealer trade in. Cool little car for the money :D

Jeez, what isn't at this money?

I like to think my £450 T-bar MR2 is slightly more manly though. May I also suggest a Rover 216? Plenty of those about on budget. There are some 214s too.

But I reckon you'll not find a better looker than that 306! At the £230 asking price, you can afford to BACS him the dosh, and have it sent up by Shiply (£100 or so). That way you don't have to go south of Yorkshire!

I know sod all about 306's, but there may be an easy way of opening the bonnet with a broken cable. Depends where it's broken I suppose.

Us suvverners ain't that bad guv. If you come down here, there's every chance you'll get back. I shouldn't think you'll need a Ferret armoured car.
