Just bought a '92 Merc 300d for a bargain £450. 160k miles, clean as a whistle. Are this Mazola compatable [not had a great deal to do with dizzlers]

Spiffing.............I've read that these are not fantastically economical, but needed something to tow my caravan. Rumour has it that they can be fiddled with [despite n/a] to produce a lot more horses. Apparently the fuel pump can be "adjusted".........although Google is a bit shy in providing any definitive answers.

not that great on fuel but makes a huge difference on Veg I have the same engine in our work Mussos we run them on 75% SVO and 25% diesel - they seem to run better on SVO but have worse Fuel consumption than the Merc as they are trucks. Tough mudders though and Uber truck shite (I take my obsession to work) and they haul 3 tonne all day

If the Viscous fan is engaged all the time, fit a new one or good 2nd hand, buy from a Sprinter website as they are cheaper.

OH! don't bother with pre heaters etc unless you want to run on 100% WVO, SVO, just cut it with some Diesel and it will work fine.

The only issue is you will put on weight, you get this slightly peckish feeling and have a craving for some nice crispy fresh chips!!!

Coincidence, a Red J reg 300D driven past me an hour ago (pre facelift).

Well, you learn a new thing every day. The mussos engine isn't exactly sophisticated so doesn't surprise me. I didn't know there was one between that one and the horrible CDI lump, nice drive but I spent a weekend curing black death on a mates one, nasty job and the daft way the injectors are seated shows shy you don't want to get Chrysler involved.
