Guest Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I just bought this fine piece of pikeyness for 150 notes. It's almost new, it's galvanised, and the lights work, sort of. Now I can be that annoying twat in front of you who won't go above 59 mph. NB: Alfa not included - that would have made the price 175. Italian comedy electrics mean that I get both car tail lights but only the offside trailer light, or I get the nearside car light and both trailer lights, and the rig switches between these modes at random every minute or so. When I use the indicators, they make a noise like the self destruct sequence on a TV starship.
Richard Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Does your car have multiplexed wiring? If it does you should use a 7 way bypass relay for the trailer electrics. http://uk-trailer-parts.co.uk/7-way-uni ... ng-diagram
Guest Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Cheers, I will look into that. The best word to describe the wiring of this car is "Italian".
eddyramrod Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Good stuff! I love a handy trailer. If I had somewhere to keep one, I'd definitely be doing the same.
garethj Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 You can keep the trailer on the car's roofrack when you don't need it Good work, Breadvan. I can't wait to read about the Daimler Conquest you collect on it!
Des Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 It appears when viewed through a trailer your Alfa reg reads as 'fuel fun', which is rather cool.
Guest Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I always think of it as saying Fee Fi, as in Fo Fum. It has already been pointed out to me that there may be a sort of "pop will eat itself" problem when the Alfa needs to be loaded onto the trailer, but, actually, this is a three bike motorcycle trailer, with a 500 kg load limit, so I will have to wait for some more bits of the Alfa to fall off before I can get it on there.
red5 Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Very nice indeed. easy to pick up and manoeuvre I bet... My wife thought it was to load the RR on. Bless.
