To be honest, the amount of salt they chuck all over the roads over here most trucks start to disolve fairly rapid........plus the bobcat bit the new dodge in the ass a few days ago, and it's goin to snow again tomorrow so it'll all have to wait till May now when it's warm. Then both trucks (not together) will have the welding done, body repairs etc, and new paint where it's needed. It's the only time they ever look clean..........................sorry, you were saying something about polishing and clay. :D

Bob,::

KNOW HER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...I think i might of married her :shock:

Mine arrived today - all I need now is for it to stop snowing and I might give it a go.... :wink:

So, we buy cheap shite cars and then we spend our day off washing it, spraying it with water and fairy liquid, cover it in blue tack and then spray Mr sheen all over it. Why? If I want a shiney car I get the Polish lads in the car wash to do it for me for a tenner and they hoover it out and make it smell nice!

Nice way of not putting money back into the economy lol

*might not be immigrants, except one of the sites here that got raided was, so my views on them are negative.

Our local Kosovo car wash in an old petrol station does a grand job for four quid. Run like a military operation, really fast. You wouldn't get Brits working that hard. :roll:

Always full of posh motors so they obviously do a good job.

The only car washes I avoid are the ones that are empty. We must have 20 or more in Cambridge and the good ones are always busy (The one on the A10, on the way to Ely)...

I avoid the waterless jobbies in Sainsburys and so on though... They made my White Cavalier turn grey by using the wrong product, then tried to rectify it using alloy wheel cleaner. Was very, very unimpressed.

I like the DIY method as with maintenance, that way I decided on the standard of the job rather than paying someone who may or may not give a shit.

Did the wash, clay, wax thing to her Leon yesterday and it's never looked so clean. The clay took off loads of crap of what I would of considered a clean car.

I like the satisfaction of a good finish and enjoy the work out too.
