My second XJ40 ran better on LPG than on petrol

I can confirm that every Dacia Logan and sandero I've ever been in has been running LPG and I think each one touched a ton on the Asian side of Istanbul. But then a lot of those had tape over the dash so the variety of warning lights didn't annoy the driver.

I'm on my second LPG RR, the first I bought ready converted and all certified, twin tanks underneath that gave a range of 180 miles at best, performance wasn't great as it was badly set up, running rich, and tuning it only got me a top speed scraping 85, later improved a fair bit with a less restrictive mixer and a better vapouriser. Current car I converted myself, pair of tanks underneath and managed to get a big upright doughnut type to go in place of the spare just as they were discontinued, this gives a range of something like 300 miles or so which is way less of a pain in the arse, I then set about the engine to make it run better, slightly wanky cam and all the usual port filing head skimming boring old bollocks and finished with a car that goes faster now on gas than it did on the expensive stuff, possibly not keeping in the spirit of economy though. Added bonus is that the engine runs very nicely on gas, far smoother, oil stays unbeliveably clean, it's a rather nice fuel that a petrol engine isn't designed to run on, but it's near enough.

I converted a shitty van a while ago and took pics as I went, I'll look for them and maybe do a guide of how to make a potential bomb.
