Pug 306 Diseasel Veg Oil Friendlyness?

I have my eye on a T reg Poojoe 3-oh-SEX Diseasel with approximately 2 days ticket and rent.

It seems to be a 1.9 and I don't think it is a turbot although it does have 160000 miles and more dented panels than straight ones.

I would be looking to spend about £100 maximum on it so even if it has to be scrapped it could be cubed with minimal financial penalty, but before I was to commit on such a purchase I would need to know if it was going to be veg oil friendly, or really if it will be one of those diesels which runs on anything with some sort of oil base, fish, paint, motor oil etc or if it would asplode immediately.

Any ideas, opinions or things I would need to look out for? It would be replacing a 2.0 Alfa Romeo 156, so I am expecting a bit of a speed difference for starters, but I am no stranger to a modern needing work.

If it's got a Bosch pump it'll be fine. An n/a won't be desperately quick but it will be cheap to run.

And I'm guessing being a Peugeot they used whatever pumps happened to be going cheap at europarts that week so no way to tell from age or engine if it has a Bosch, Lucas, Quentin Hazel or other spurious brand?

I just had a quick check on autodata and 306 1.9d's of that vintage came in 2 different engine flavours and both had Lucas and Bosch pumps fitted - so no help even if you knew the engine code.

Well if its cheap enough it's worth a shot. If it turns out to be a Lucas then a quick call to car take back would soon remove my problem.
