Do two Wrongs make a right?

Right so I've got this TR7 that's completely rotten. It's too rotten for me to be bothered restoring so I'm trying to sell it for spares but I do still quite fancy a TR7. This one is ending in my home town (about 100 miles from where I live)

in a few hours and is at 250 quid no bids. It was for sale on gumtree a couple of months ago for £400 and it needs some welding. It looks generally in much better condition than mine and has 5 speed box (min has 4speed) so it's top speed isn't limited to 58mph and upgraded suspension etc. I can't get to see it as it's so far away and it may well be as rotten as mine underneath. I have no room for it until I get shot of mine, which may mean I have to bin it.

So what do you recon? Do two wrong Tr7's make a right?? It could well just be as bad.

Looks can be deceptive. Is there another 'shiter who lives nearer who could check it over for you? It'd be madness to buy it unseen if there's a chance it's as bas as the other one.

My old boy lives there and had I got my finger our my arse before hand I could have got him to go and have a look at it. He actually knows what he's looking for too as he used to weld these crocks up back in the 80's.

I'll also be there next week for Christmas. Just gaurenteed that he'll want more than the £250 it's looking like it's going to go for now once it's out of the auction.

Sold at £280 - Did you bid? Whitevanman lives near Gala so he'd probably have checked it out for you. At that money there's not much to lose really - make one good out of the two!

I didn't bid. I was holding off hoping there'd be no bids so I could go and have a look at it when I was down next week. As billy said I could have just been buying another shagged TR7 and they're about as popular as a dog shit in a baby bath so not so easy to get rid of especially without an mot.
