Insurer(s) for VIN-based cert without fuss?

Got a RAGE ROWER parked across the road from me. Greek plates, a mate dumped it on me and I am left with the unenviable task of reregistering it here. It's from 2002/2003, so not eligible for classic insurance. In theory, most/all car insurers can do a certificate on a VIN. In practice, we know that most major ones are completely useless, and a non-standard request is too much trouble for them, and classic-oriented ones probably won't want to know due to the age of the car (Peter James have already said so).

Got any recommendations?

It appears that Admiral can do it. I just got a reasonable quote off their Bell [End] arm.

I just spoke to Footman James about insuring a car on foreign plates, and they said they can do that or on VIN number ... They're more classic focused as well though.
