Pillock Posted October 28, 2007 Share Posted October 28, 2007 Some kids decided to roast a Skoda wagon two houses up from me (yeah yeah, i live in a lovely area ). What was interesting is that the petrol tank just sort of made a 'whoosh' sound but didn't explode, yet the tyres all went up like bombs. I guess there's some fairly good engineering goes into tanks to make sure they're safe in an accident. Amusingly, the next morning (6.30am on a Sunday to be exact) someone with a recovery wagon came and stole the burned-out remains. Apparently it happens a lot, a guy at work says his friend had a burned-out car stolen, and even rang the insurance company to make two claims.
