Help required for classic Caravan.

Sorry to ask, a mate of mine bought a new "Road Maggot" and needs lamps..... but can anyone identify (or possibly supply) Des? lights for a 1960s " Viking Fibreline??" I have piccies... something makes me think generic Lucas, but theres an inkling of Vauxhall....

Numberplate lamp unit..... well anything would do, but what would fit?

 

Anyone got owt lurking?

Rear lights do indeed look generic - think late Mini pick-up amongst other things.

I remember seeing loads of these about back in the day (I've always been a rear light perv)...

Not quite minivan/p-up style, they are tapered top to bottom.

The numberplate light is jokon, I know this as my hefty girlfriend got in the caravan without the legs down and it tipped up in a "last of the summer wine" style and smashed into a wall

That's why I said LATE Mini pick-up. They changed from Rover P4 to 'whatever's cheap' in the late 1970s.

They do look familiar and trailerboard sprang to mind. Unfortunately it got taken to the dump about a year ago because it had sat in the back of the garage for twenty years without being used. I did Google and ebay searches but just came up with pics of square *modern ones. Anyone else still got theirs?

PS, not sure on the number plate light, many things could be made to fit, but I'm not sure of the size of the marks the old one would leave. Maybe one of these might look ok:

You lot are fecking amazing. Have picture of the beautiful "saved" caravan for your troubles.... he will be towing it behind a 1960s Land Rover.

 

And yes, that IS a Mini Clubman Estate... he likes British Leyland, and he's a TOP bloke.

I'm fairly sure I have at least one of those tail lenses, in a Leyland box, I think a Westminster No. plate lamp would be close to the shape of the remains pictured, they're nicely chromed and not made of mazak monkey metal that turns into the surface of the moon after a single light shower.

I'll take a pic when I'm at my unit.
