And because they are seen as being shite cars, which they actually are not , you can pick them up at a fraction of the cost of say a robin hood or locost, mechanical parts are cheap and they are easy to work on and once finished you have a car that does put a smile on your face every time you drive it , and unlike some cheap banger if you have rebuilt it you can know its going to be safe if it breaks you only have yourself to blame you can pick up a good one for about £1000 what else can you get for that? mine was a basket case for £240 ive spent about the same amount getting missing parts the escort parts that came with the car were worth about £400, including a spare 2.0 pinto which i sold , that alone paid for what i had to buy, compare this with the cost of what some of you would have had to pay for your cars then theres insurance, once finished i expect to pay about £130 to insure my melos

Ok, well, I tried.

Fair point mr Sparrow.

I'll post something later tonight, i'll try to keep it down a bit, normally i'm a bit verbose.

Truth is you guys may know where there are some of these tarp covered or mossy monsters and I for one would be very interested in tracking them down.

I have 3100 vehicles on our database but a lot of those are historic and may not be there any more. TWD made over 8000 and that means there are a whole load missing.

The Sierra found down Brighton way has now been partially restored and will be back on the road shortly. I'll get some before and after shots from the owner.
