Wasnt a cannabis farm, but they were fostering lots of rescue kids (with my knowledge/agreement) -so I'm at a total loss to understand. I was expecting it to be a bit untidy when I was told they'd skipped- (happens all the time to some places) but wasn't prepared for total darkness- even with the lights on!

 

Anyway, new boiler, rebuilt kitchen, (tops, fronts etc-) electrics update & new doors & windows (going in today) partial replastering & a very large of a bucket of magnolia ( & trade white gloss) is beginning to make some headway. They also mullered the flamin leylandii at the bottom of the garden (-originally for seclusion) so stump grinder in this weekend & a new laurel hedge being couriered down (courtesy thiefbay).

 

Hastings is a strange town- isnt it? Hopefully the new road structure will re-unite it with the outside world, & reinvigorate the area! Our place is on The Ridge- a nice quiet (unadopted) private road, where this sort of nonsense is really frowned on.

 

In other news- the point of this thread, I missed out on the Maestro. I had worked out how to get to Poitiers (Ryannair- £21!), just 50 miles away, but hadnt finalised the cross country then needed. Now it seems someone has beaten me to it...

 

Or did they? I'll wager that promises have been made that may not be met -and I'd 50/50 a return email in 6-8 weeks -when it just hasnt happened.

I agree, the chances of two people scrabbling to scoop that up at the same time are pretty slim!!! I reckon they'll be back in touch before too long.
