The number plates on my van have "Regan and Hines Motors, Bmouth" On them:

I thought it would be long gone, but it turns out that years ago this van:

Came out of here, which is one of the more shabby dealers I've seen in years, it's on par with a galv fence round some gravel with an angry dog on a rope, but in bournemoth where everything is toned down a bit!

The place seems to still be going, but the premises look expensive to be flogging mk4 golfs and taxi passats out of, Hines seems to have got out of the game not long after he sold my van by the look of the sign, I bet poor old regan is having to work his stones off to pay the landlord or else they'll clad the place in cheap timber and put students in it.

What you got? sticking the phone number in google (maybe with added 1s) seems to work

Is that a camera in your plate?

Yeah, I wasted £40 on a reversing camera which I never use.

I found Hines about 7 miles away. He's not upped his game much - His star car is a MK2 polo

Again nice work on the signwriting!

Well, a couple of years later and the van is totally different, I do kind of regret changing it so much when I look back, but it's deffo a case of rose tinted specs. I've eve changed the numberplates, but I've kept the old ones in the garage.

Sadly, Regan has gone, not to shitty flats, but a scruffy food store:

Hines is still going strong, but I presume they have been scene taxed out of the VWAUDI market and one of their nephews sold the signs off the wall to someone at vanfest for £2830.

Geoffrey Sizzey number plate by dieselnutjob, on Flickr

G Sizzey was the local Peugeot dealer when I was growing up in Sussex in the '80s.  I thought the font was cool and futuristic-looking - and regretted not having a Peugeot in the family (my folks being fond of Renaults and Volvos.  Mostly Volvos).

^^^Which is why mine is in the paintshop for more gloss white while I repaint my grey steel hubcaps.... :-D

My old SD1 had the original Arden and Bull plates on the back. The front ones are a bit more exposed so long gone much like Arden and Bull themselves.
They seem to have sunk without trace all I can find is they're from Altrincham.
