R reg golf 1.9D estate $150

Sadly my dad recently passed away, I've been tasked with disposing of his car. Its a late mk3 golf N/a 1.9 diesel 5 door estate. Has 178k on the clock (if you know these engines you'll know they are good for much more) runs and pulls well. just had new timing belt, clutch and replacement gearbox, good tyres all round.

Has MOT until october, no tax. it will definitely need the n/s outer sill patching and it has a noisy power steering pump (been like that the last 2 years)which would need replacing at some point-the steering is a little lumpy as a result.

Its been a brilliant car, still capable of returning 55 mpg. shame to scrap it as its perfectly useable.

There's little to go wrong on it, no turbo, it even has manual window winders.

150 quid to get it gone

It sounds like a steal. Those 1.9 1Y engines are sought (sort[/eBay]) after by Caddy/T25 owners to replace tired old 1.6 diesel rattlers.

Great for running on veg too.

LP is bang on, I got nearly twice that amount for a seriously rusty Mk3 Golf hatch with the same engine to a lad on Retro-Rides. Tbh I'd shove it on there for £275 ono and see what happens.
