Are there any cars you have owned and regretted selling?

The 3.0 24 valve Senator was, and still is, my wife's all time favourite car. I preffered the 3.0 12 valve.

We've sort of moved on now. Onwards, but not neccessarily upwards.

Interesting. My wife loved our 24v Senilator, too. I wonder why women find them appealing?

I blessed myself three times after I managed to get rid of that dismal ugly piece of euroshit.

Mk2 Scirocco Storm - I don't know who at VW did the gearing calculations for these but it was stupidly quick to 40mph, then settled down. 8v GTI motor gave great torque, one of the easiest cars ever to drive. Immaculate leather and acres of brown. Had a huge wodge of service history, down to wiper blades and tyres as well as classified ad clippings from when it was purchased by some owner. Sold it to an enthusiast and it disappeared off the DVLA site within the year.

Polo G40 - if you're going to die torque-steering into a tree, at least do it with a nice engine note. This was fun every time I drove it, it was "a bit nippy" like Katie Price is "a bit fake". Oh, it wasn't fun when it ate the inside of the supercharger, that was expensive. But on the whole, good times. Exported to Ireland and fully rebuilt.

Audi 90 Quattro Sport - pound-per-tonne the best value car I've ever had. Rammed full of new bits (4x calipers, front-to-back genuine exhaust etc) and found in a scrappy for £250. Glorious sound, very lazy to drive, pretty quick in a straight line and no reason to slow down round corners. Sold because the wife (at the time) didn't like it much. Turns out she was a cowbag and I should have read the signs.

My Rover 75 Tourer. It was a sofa on wheels! Replaced 2months ago with a 51 plate Honda Accord. Biggest mistake ever. The Accord has no soul! It also has no expensive repair bills-Ho Hum!

As a mate of mine said the other day; 'regrets, I've had a few, in fact so many they keep me awake at night'. Car wise, my '97 Saab 900s Convertible, Abbott Motorsport special edition is my biggest regret. Son no.1 was on the way so I chopped it for a 95 estate. Then spent the next 5 years watching Autotrader and the bay for it to resurface. Naturally, it eventually showed up so, with sweaty palms and a wedge of cash in my back pocket I drove to Leicester and found the poor old thing was fecked. It had been crashed, the roof didn't work, the check engine light was on and when I touched the aerial, it fell off. I walked away and I'm never ever going to do that again.

Had one of these early naughties. Handed it back to the finance company when I'd paid half off. Wish id kept it. Best car I've ever driven. Knocked about 2 hours off a 4 hour drive it was so comfortable. Drove its self virtually.

1959 100E Anglia. 1500 pre crossflow with Kent cam, twin choke Weber and four branch, MK1 Cortina 'box (alegedly with Lotus-Cortina internals), Classic struts and axle. Bought it on ebay for £1200 ish IIRC. Used it a few times then the alternator packed up. It sat in the garage and the MOT expired. I stupidly belived internet 'experts' who said 'OMG U WIL GET DOBBED INTO VOSA WHEN U TAKE IT FOR MOT CUZ IT SHUD HAV A Q PLATE!!!!' My head wasn't right at the time and I sold it to Pop Parts Plus for £750.
