A New York man retired. He wanted to use his retirement

money wisely, so it would last, and decided to buy a home and a

few acres in Portugal. The modest farmhouse had been vacant for

15 years.; the owner and wife both had died, and there were no heirs.

The house was sold to pay taxes. There had been several lookers,

but the large barn had steel doors, and they had been welded

shut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to see what was in

the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property anyway......so,

nobody made an offer on the place.

 

The New York guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, moved

in, and set about to tear in to the barn.......curiosity was killing him.

 

 

So, he and his wife bought a generator, and a couple of grinders.......and

cut thru the welds.

 

 

The doors were welded shut, but an angle grinder took care of that

mass hook line ..and oh..sinker!..an old mate of mine in Boston claimed he had a 1956 300SL Gullwing Merc under a haystack in a barn in New Hampshire..only thing was..i think it was true..

Needs some fettling, mainly the fuel tank which is full of tarmac, otherwise its pretty decent, never welded and not needing any welding. 2000 injection as well!

That's the first time I've ever seen one from the rear angle. Don't think I've ever knowingly seen one in the flesh either. Mind you I've no recollection of actually being in the presence of a 132 either, but sure I must have been at some point, maybe when I was a child & wasn't bothered about such things.Thanks for flashing your Argenta at us Mr B
