Italian Car Day - Stanford Hall - 3rd June

Anyone thinking of going? Is it worth attending?

Much as I'm tempted to head to the South Bank this Sunday, and wave to H.R.H. and her flotilla of boats sailing down the Thames, I've always fancied a looksee at Italian car day.

(I was reared on a plethora of old Italian chod - Panda / Uno / Prisma / Delta / 127 / Strada / Thema / Beta / 155 / Croma / Alfasud Sprint etc etc, so do have something of a soft spot for them).

I've worked out it's around 1.5 hours to Stanford Hall from my North London gaff, so could be tempted to fire up the peasant Pug, and point it at the M1... :?:

While I'm obviously not going, there might not be a great turnout due to the other event you mention.

i think it might just be the excuse people want :D

I was thinking along the same lines... :)

Just hoping that 'Italian Car Day' doesn't consist solely of boring Ferrarborginiratis, polished to within an inch of their lives / owners in matching logo'd shirts & caps...

(To be honest, one of the biggest sheds I've driven to date was a Ferrari 348 - Build quality on par with an 80's Fiat... Niiiiiice... )

I've been to this before and its a great do, classy and certainly plenty to amuse shite lovers. Its got everything from a De Tomaso Longchamps, via Alfa 6, past a couple of Gammas and finishing up with some barried-up cinquecentos having a sound-off. I'd go myself but if all goes to plan I will be engaged on a shite acquisition mission on the Sunday.

Aye. It's a good ol' show. There was a cracking line up of Pandas last time I was there as well as the posher stuff. Definitely gets the nod ahead of waving at some old lady on a river.
