Road Transport Show... Newark.... this weekend!

Thought you lot might like a heads up...

 

Just sat at work watching Newark Showground fill up with various examples of truck and bus shite, and Googling it shows there to be a road transport show on.

 

I can't make it but there looked to be a fair amount of vehicles and a nice range of years.

Thanks for the heads up Pillock This is the annual AEC Rally and this year is a special occassion, the centenary of AEC

This should be quite an event and well worth going to if you are in the area; I understand there are about 450 entries so far including about 220 AECs. I've had an invitation to go there on the museum's Routemaster (RM 506 if anyone is interested) but unfortunately won't be able to make it due to family commitments. It is also the 50th birthday of the Bedford VAL, so there should be a good turnout of these also, especially on Sunday. Look out for VAL 466 G, now in the livery of the suberbly named 'The Running Footman' but originally operated by the equally superbly named Smith's Imperial Coaches of Birmingham, and now resident at the museum (AMRTM)
