Future shite for sale.... Citroen C6

hello shitters. Selling my 55 plate C6. 2.7 V^ HDI Auto, dark grey met with black leather. Full spec inc lounge pack, full history, blah blah blah., Mot til jan, tax aug, its an early C6 so just misses the mahoosive road tax band.

Cheapest anywhere, £4500, any questions, fire away. Not expecting a huge responce from here, or anywhere else for that matter, but it only takes one person other than me to be looking for an afordable one, so nothing lost mentioning it.

The C6s are great and I am looking to buy one. A low price and low road tax rate car would be perfect but I have promised my wife I will only buy one with a cream leather interior. My quest to buy a C6 continues.

it was cheap, no denying, i bought it cheap too, as a car dealer, i should have retailed it at about £6995, and it would have still been competitive, but, i retail cars for a living, all day every day, joe bastard public, can you imagine the world of pain selling a C6, if something went wrong? can you imagine the type of person who would come to look at it? They are not going to be laid back types, who think, oh well, its french, it a bit of character etc etc, they are going to be totally paranoid about any rattle, and they will be banging on about how they have done their homework etc etc etc. I Cant be arsed!! The trader who has bought it will be perfectly entitled to make a really good turn of it, and i hope he does, and for that privilege, he can deal with those who piss about pretending they are interested, and the person who finally buys it, and feels like he has married the seller, not just bought a car!! My way of looking at it is this, I made a cheeky bid for it in november because i had always wanted one, I have done 11,000 miles and enjoyed every minute, i can now sell, with no hassle, no worries, and not lose anything, i can almost guarantee, i am the only person in the world to have run a C6 for 11000miles, and not lost anything. I will miss it though. There might be another looming on the horizon...

I was about to raise the subject with the Mrs but you've probably done me a favour by selling it. What was it like to live with?

It was ace, bloody ace, undoubtedly the best bit about them is the way they look, I dont think they do anything better than other big cars, other than ride well, however the suspension isnt as soft and floaty as an xm or cx, and nor does it have the same susp travel. I loved the way Mr V.A,G Knobhead really was intrigued by it, but felt he shouldnt be, so uttered stuff about wrong badge etc etc, whilst secretly really wanting to be impressed by it.

 

I would have preferred a petrol one, but they are thin on the ground. Would I have another? Oh yes, Did I get more pleasure from it that some of the £300 cars i have owned? Nah, afraid not! I have a hankering for a carlton or senator, or another xm, or................... hmmm, not sure, but its gonna be fun messing about buying some cheap shite again with out tying up lots of cash.......unless the other one materialises.

3 nice chaps drove up, in a c6 from london to collect it. I had given it a wee clean, and put £60 of diesel in as a wee luck penny, and what happened? It wouldnt fucking start for them!!! he knew his onions and had the citroen puter thing.... "alternator not charging" AAAAAARRGGH!

 

At this point, i would have walked from the deal, and I gave him that option, and expected him to, he declined, and we negotiated £250 off, and i gave him my booster pack. He is intending driving as long as he can, and AA will do the rest, poor sod!

So, look out for a black C6 on the back of a low loader heading south. It was a cheap car though, and i hope he makes a good wedge when he comes to sell it.
