Kicking off the Tyre thread:

Remoulds, I didnt know you could still get them. I was searching for S&M tyres (which I like to buy in Summer as they are cheaper to buy) when I came across some 155/70/13 Remould Mud & Snows. £20/corner.

Fuck knows what brand as Im waiting for them to arrive, but I bet they are "Interesting" to drive on.

Well known* interesting* fact about remoulds is that aircraft use them.

When buying remoulds, I try to match carcasses where possible for the front axle, normally identifiable by the ribs and other marking within the tyre itself. It's borne of experience, under heavy wet braking with a laden towcar and 2 tons of trailer. One needs all the control one can get under those circumstances. I used to run studdable 185/65/15 Colways on my Sierras, on Peugeot steels for the winters. It saved killing decent alloys and wide tyres. It also changed the final drive gearing to prevent sharp take off mode! (2.1 RWD on twin 45s does not a good winter drive make!)

Yeah you can get them online from mytyres.co.uk. My mechanic swears by the remoulded snow tyres.
