Technically I don't see why not. I'd properly book one as close to Stranraer and possible, i'm 5 mins from the Belfast Port.

Hey Luke, if you want to fly into Prestwick one weekend I'm sure a shite roadtrip to Aberdeen could be organised. You'd be buying the ginsters of course.

i could get it to the ferry for about £150. I would like £400 for the car. I would be surprised if it needed anything for the mot, wheni did it, i put a new caliper and a balljoint on it i think. let me know if its of any interest. )

Right! I saw it driving about for years and years, belonged to local fish merchant, who had i think had it from new.. it was then passed on to his daughter, who then passed to her husband is i think the story. I stopped the daughter at some point and gave her a card, asking for her to contact me when it became available, a few years later, she did just that. I bought it with no mot, and took it home, it was leaking auto fluid, the pipe from the oil cooler to the gearbox was rotten, i had this replaced with a section of rubber hose and some jubilee clips, job jobbed. It was taken from an mot and failed on rear brake, and a ball joint i think. New caliper and ball joint fitted, an mot was issued. I ran about in it on trade plates for a few weeks, car was faultless. I then moved house and the car came with me and was put in a shed and it is still there now, i moved it the other day and it started first turn on the jump pack. The engine is amazingly smooth and quiet, its the 12v 2.0 one, not seen many of those, the gearbox is the 4 speeder and changes as it should. All electrics work as they should, the interior if a little dusty could be described as "immaculate" Bodywise is also well above average, its all original, and all trim is there and good. save for one or two wee age related marks, and a wee "bleb" on a rear arch, it too could be described as immaculate.

So, it hasnt really been on the road much for the last 4 and a bit years, apart from a few weeks a couple of years ago, when i used it for about 1000 miles, i took it to edinburgh and back one evening and it was a delight (300miles). It was quite thirsty around town/ short trips, i seemed unable to get more than 18 mpg, but on the run to edinburgh and back got close to 30mpg. If you have anyone who is local that you would like to come and see it etc, im fine with that, Tayne of this parish, is local, and might fancy a look over it too, and he can give his opinion if this would suit, you or him. If its of no use, thats fine, although i have no real need for it, i am quite attached to it, but doubt life will allow time for me to do anything with it in the foreseeable future, but have enough space to keep it warm and dry should I ever find the time to use it again. Do you have any particular time frame that it needs to go? Very, very interested but the Rover will have to go first at the very least!
