cleared out a garage this afternoon, some old gadji with a fair selection of 80s GM and ford still sitting dusty in his large garage (which is due for demolition) and I cleared his spares and listened to a whole load of shite related stories.

The two amber lenses in the left of the first picture look like they're off a late model Volvo 140

they are marked austin / rover, i assumed they were metro

Nope. Metro never had 'owt like that fitted. Had them in the bumper or integral with the headlamp. Rover Metro had separate indicators, but smaller than that. SD3 looks about right.
