Wouldn't have been a UK-spec Denem on an F-plate. they were all As and Bs. I think there was a change of importer and the only vehicles imported after that were Shifter pick-ups and Duster 4x4s

Didn't Dacia UK call the Shifter special edition the "Shifterossa" or something similar? Relevant to your Volvoish interests, there are a number of Volvo 144s in the DPRK, apparently as a result of the government taking a liking to them in the 1970s and ordering a thousand examples. To date, Volvo hasn't received payment for any of them: I saw a navy blue one pottering around Pyongyang on a BBC news report a few years ago and wondered why it was there

I hear they use them and Dacia's a lot as taxi's. There is also the occasional Lada Riva there too.

Well from the original Dacia imports there are only 3 Dacia Dusters left, everything else gone unless burried in barns!
