I have always assumed:

Owning a Discovery gives you automatic right of way over oncoming traffic irrespective of which side of the road you use.

Audi no longer fit indicators to their cars, and owning one entitles you go go through lights 3 seconds after they have turned red.

Oh brilliant, a thread to stereotype people by the cars they own.

Fine, I'll join in.

All drivers of French cars are louche homosexual freaks with beards and uncontrollable BO.

All drivers of BL / Austin Rover products haven't been paid since 1970 and rummage through bins for food.

Saab drivers have never had sex with anything.

etc.

Honestly, do we need this sort of shit?

As usual, meaningless statistics. It is just as likely that a high percentage of people who are thinking of buying a Discovery, even if they don't actually own one yet go to crap price comparison sites to get a quote. (or any other conceivable reason)

Here's another statistic you may be intersted in. 100% of (an admittedly small) former Alfa Romeo 156 owners found confused.com so useless they gave up in disgust when they had hardly started to fill the form in, phoned the AA, spoke to a real person and put about £700 of business their way.
