The Renaults Return------More Pics

I'm not too worried about the bumpers------I was given a number of a guy who lives about 20 miles from me who ran 20/30's as daily drivers converting many to diesel. I rang him and he has the remains of a few still in his garden as well as plenty of new/used spares in a shed...Exhaust would deffo have to be new but think I will be ok on the bumpers but keep me posted anyway.

That looks like a great find - well done!

I own a 1981 R30 TX and I'm trying to get hold of some bumpers for it. It's the later type, which wrap around the quarter panels further than the earlier ones. I'm also wondering where on earth to get metric (390) tyres from these days! It was my Dad's car 20 years ago and I'm prepping it for an MOT. I think I'll need a clutch master cylinder and the calipers will almost certainly need seals by now!

Many thanks,

Dave

Welcome along Dave. Pics are always appreciated  .

Good luck with the metric tyres, the rest of it should be easier!

+1, welcome along Dave.

Have you tried (David) Kelly's for the bumper? He used to have all kinds of old stuff in his yard and might be worth a try.

As for tyres, they do seem to be horiffically expensive in metric flavour, like here for example: http://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/page/Michelin_TRX_Tyres

It might be worth trying a Citroen CX or Ford Granada forum as some models of those had TRX tyres, and occasionally used ones pop up for sale on banger racing forums etc
