You 're thinking of scrapping the Scooby essentially for the sake of a pair of shock absorbers? Better the devil you know...

By the way, speaking of shocks, I am not sure of the precise model that you have, but onlineautomotive seem to have some cheapo Nipparts in stock...£28.43 each inc VAT (it just says 2.5 98-03 without specifying further details).

2.5 1996 Legacy onlineautomotive rear gas shocks coming in at £84quid each!

What a difference a couple of years can make!

#Luxo/Skiz = found a set o OEW rer shocks for 54 quid a corner - by far the cheapest

#Cort16 - looks like a good one but I'm gonna hold onto this one and sort it

Took the BX and the kids up to Stirling this morning. Had a voucher for ten pee off a litre atsainsbury so filled up with 97 ron.....what a difference! Speed test on empty m9 up to 3 figs easily and good torque at top end....

Very very windy though huge storm last night caused a power surge that took out our broadband so no pics yet of replacement scooby.

wasn't going to replace the current one and was just about to start to order 300 in parts when mrs s walked in grumbling about auto box problems

Cont.....

Auto box not changing down. I had a look and smelt the atf....burnt...oh dear....

So bought this legacy manual lux..2000..cars done 160k engine about 60 is a 2lt scooby engine from an impresa. Surprising ly swift. Mechanically it's in good shape needs body tarted and a few wee jobs.

Thanks to cort for spotting it.

Pics and more when I collect it and when broadband working again

Good work scooters. I'm glad my shitehawk eye spotted it, seems great for the money. Are those GT-B alloys?

not sure - vendor said they are a set of WHEELZ FROM GUMTREE AND R GEN-U-IN WRX IMPREZZA

it is definately a 'farmers' car and doesn't look so good inthe flesh I will get some photos up when I collect it - mechanically though it is very solid and the later spec seems better screwed together even though it would have been built in the states
