Those Granadas aren't far from me. As for the price: the seller has probably been up in court for sheep-shagging (they do a LOT of that in Larne), and needs the money to pay his fines.

 

If it's the bloke I'm thinking of, and it just might be, he told a mate of mine that he had a genuine Mark 2 Escort RS2000 cabrio "factory built in Russelheim".

i looked at the advert and thought the price wasnt too bad, for two clean looking mk1's, in northern ireland (so no ferry tickets to buy, on the way to the south) oh but hang on, 5200 not 2500 quid i'd originally thought it was

Mustard mitt, the tidy one is bloody nice. That's got to be worth £3-4k if it's as good as it looks.

It isn't actually all that bad a price for two grannies. From what I can see they are solid, don't have sunroofs and perfect for banger racers... who'll pay up to and around £1000 for a good granny for the world final.

Considering you get two cars, that price isn't all that bad. I would have liked to see MoT and tax on at least one of them for that money though. Mine is rather a lot more, but it's in much better shape than either of these, and has local history. Not to mention, it seems to be the only one on the island, certainly in use! (In fact it's been out this morning!) I'm sure it wouldn't take long to unearth more Granadas in NI. Nowhere near as long as in Cyprus...
