lack of numberplates is the equivalent of SORN- they get handed in into the local tax office and you are supposed to keep the car off the road. Like most laws, nobody ever bothers to check, especially in rural places where everyone knows each other.

Yes, true here Albert. We actually had to go out and buy two pedal bins for the facilities in this house...

 

OTOH if you drive shite on a Greek Island, vacationing Brits will stop and take photos of it!

Of course, there's nothing wrong with a little shite talk, but you both FAIL (heck, eddy is even in a different COUNTRY!) as the pics here are most definitely from the mainland, where sewage treatment facilities are rather more widespread.

I've found the above procedure to be the norm wherever I've been around southern Europe. It's not sewage-treatment that's the problem, it's the narrow-bore pipes. At least that's what people have told me. Someone also suggested that the access traps are rough-surfaced, which catches paper which then builds up, etc etc...

I want that Cortina, it looks awsome! And not that bad either when you consider the state a similar one over here would be in.

 

Oh and, the last time I was in Cyprus I was told about the toilet paper thing. I thought putting it in the bin was a disgusting idea so I ignored advice and tryed to flush it down... the can promptly got blocked and started to fill up, which was also disgusting! I was told the reason why was the small bore soil pipes too, dont know if it true though.
