No reasonable way, therefore, of dealing with the tollbooths on the tunnel.

 

This summer I drove from Rome back to the UK on my own. Normally the toll booths would be a nightmare, but driving our battered 806 was easy because it has no centre console. The gearlever sprouts out of the dash and the handbrake is between the drivers seat and the door, not in the middle. Therefore one can just slide over to the passenger seat to pay tolls. Fantastic.
