Pug 306 handbrake question..DW LenH?

Folks,

have a Hayes manual on order and have had a good look online to see how to do this and ended up getting very confused..

there is no handbrake cable present - it has been removed by the previous owner. A matter of urgency to get it sorted.

This is a 306 Td 1996 with rear drums...do I need 2 handbrake cables like the disc braked models? Or is it a single cable...The fixing point on the hand brake lever looks like it takes a single cable.

Gonna try and tackle this tomorrow - if you could let me know any potential tricky bits I'd be very grateful

cheers

These boys list a left and a right, so it must have two cables

Its probably got some sort of little link cable that attaches to the HB lever, thats why theres only one attachment point on the lever.

Can't really offer any advice, as my 306 ownership pre-dates my tinkering phase.

If the 306 set up is the same as the ZX, then yes, 2 cables running from the h/brake

They have two cables, both run right to the back of the lever inside the car, the lever pulls a short threaded rod on the end of which is a balance bar to which the cables hook into.
