I've never done one of these threads before, hopefully this won't disappoint. If it does you can get a refund when you leave :D

Here's a few from my home town, the first one isn't even a car but a garage next to a bungalow. The bungalow itself doesn't seem to have changed since the second world war but the first thing that strikes you about the garage is the smell! You can whiff out the creosote from 50 yards away and as you can see, it doesn't appear to have been done recently either. Look at the shape first; it's fucking massive. The glass is mostly boarded up, the tin roof is rusty and at one end there's ornamentation on the gables. Naturally the doors don't look as if they'd open without dragging the bottom on the ground. I don't want to get any closer and look inside because my fantasy is there's a 1940s Allard in there.

A walk up the street shows a lesser spotted Toyota, the styling looked a bit awkward at the time but at least it's different. Hardly any about now.

Just around the corner is this Quattro in genuine A-2-A red. Dunno if the white wheels are original but it looks well tasty.

Is this a Lightweight, or 1/4 ton or something? It's ugly even by old Land Rover standards and hasn't moved ever, but I'd still want to give it a cuddle

A walk down the road to Tesco sees this impressive Oxford in the parent and child space. It's choc full of wob in all the places they rusted 20 years ago, the sill on the other side has been replaced and is going rusty as it appears to have no paint. The number plates seem to be hand made, which was more common a few years ago. Makes all the RatRides look like they're trying too hard.

About a month ago I changed jobs, but before that I passed these lovelies on my way to work. No plates on this Landie but it looks like a very early Series 3.

Everyone likes to think they've got broad tastes. "Oh yeah, I like all sorts of music, me. Everything from Girls Aloud to the Saturdays" You might think you've got broad taste in cars - you are an amateur compared to this bloke.

When I started going past his house which is in a posh village, he had a new Audi estate parked on the drive. Then after a while he got a mid 1990s lipstick red Maserati, ideal if you work from home. Later still, this Porsche 930 arrived in full Martini livery. It's either a genuine racing car or it's the most convincing race replica I've ever seen. Parked next to it, is a Twike which is sort of three wheel portaloo affair. As you can see from the extension lead across the drive, this one's getting a recharge.

A trip to London saw this Autoshite spec MG in a driveway. Some of the houses in London are ace - they reek of past glory but sadly most must now be flats and they all look a bit scruffy. In the mid '60s when new, this GT must have been a fair choice. Steel wheels were much stiffer than the old fashioned looking wires, and the hardtop with hatchback was more practical and better looking than the roadster. Now of course it's worth buttons, no wonder it hasn't been restored.

This superb 110 is a very early one; it's got sliding windows instead of the wind ups and a four speed 'box with overdrive. I'd love it, but the V8 may be a little thirsty for my current 75 miles a day commute

And taken this morning, one of those strange things based on a Micra. If you want to make a Nissan Figaro look cool, get one of these. Based on a Micra cabrio which is quite rare on its own. Note the Beemer with cack taillights, you can tell this was taken outside Halfords

And outside this particularly glamorous car sales place, a Toyota Paseo. If a Scirocco or Meganne coupe is too manly, one of these Paseos could be ideal. I quite like it.

Top thread GarethJ!. I love the fucked Sherpa Coupe (steels and caps maketh the car!) and the Morris Oxide, but that garage in the first pic is simply superb! Definite shed envy from me right now. I bet it's nicely stocked with a mass of wooden-handled tools all hung on the wall in their correct place..
