FOR SALE MY E28 525i M20 B25 engined now £500 ono

Right guys the time has come to sell on my once daily driver. It's a 1987 BMW E28. It originally was a 520i lux but i re engined it with a 2.5 engine from a E30 325i sport. I have spent a fortune on this car and i hate seeing it just sat in the corner of the unit. So i'll see if anybody on here fancies taing the car on?

Reason for selling?

Well i found some rot around the front passenger jacking point and footwell. It will require a plate welding in and some reconstruction of the jacking point on that side. There are some other spots of rust and marks on the car, the drainage channel around the boot could do with a look at. The clutch master cylinder doesnt seem that healthy either

I havent got the time quite frankly to sort it, mainly due to work, other cars etc........

Some Info about the car

"197000 miles. Out of tax and test SORN'd

* Fully rebuilt (top and bottom end) 325i sport M20 B25 engine fitted 21000miles ago

*325i sport rebuilt gearbox and differntial

*E28 M5 propshaft and new bushes/bearing

*Recent new rear Subframe bushes, new boge shocks and Spax lowering springs all round ,drop links, control arms, oil pump, water pump, radiator and hoses ,warm air hoses, exhaust mainfold, slave cylinder, rear calipers, discs and pads.

M tech 1 steering wheel and full m535i recaro interior.

Hartge H5 rear spoiler

Original metric 14' mahle BBS wheels and set of original 17" split BBS wheels with 3 as new tyres

I have the reciepts for everything ive spent on the car, including petrol (id rather not look at all of those tbh lol)

I washed and waxed the car at least twice a week and was always waxoiled every year

The car is located in Darlington and im after around £650 for the car. I think its a fair price as the engine and drivetrain is basically brand new, it does require work and would make someone who enjoys rectifying bodywork a rewarding project.

Oh christ that is noice  I can offer nothing only a 'good luck with the sale'

I have to say as an old BMW anorac you have some very nice extras there that make that car well worth the money.

That is tasty - 650ono is cheap for that even without T/T. That filter looks lost on that engine!

Yeh the filter does look small but it is a proper K & N filter for this engine. Its probably because the engine bay is so bloody huge on these cars that it makes everything seem tiny .

Dropped it down to £500 ono as i really could do with it gone and the space its taking up freeing :D

it's very nice - you not tempted to bung an MOT on it - you could probably get some dosh for it then, The problem with flogging without one is that collection costs suddenly rocket unless local or if you are fortunate to have an A frame or a wife as understanding as Nige's!

anyway - I always had a warped plan to get one of these and replace the 6 pot with the nastiest rattliest perkins agricultural lump I could find :D

glwts - someones gonna get a love4ly useable motah -E28's have been featured quite a lot recently as desirable practical classics in jst abou all the mags
