A fantastic turnout for yesterdays HotRod meet, filled out by some attendees of todays Ink and Iron show I imagine.

Plenty of metal/glassfibre/carbon that Ive not seen before, including one particulally heroic chap who turned up in a proper dragcar, who needs numberplates eh?

Great to see and talk to Morrisoxide and his dad, Polodragin, ZetecVan and Nevins also we saw MissAntix and her chap (beautiful Mercury guys).

Anyways, pictures...

This pickup has modern(-ish) Japanese running gear, shown here read for its MOT on monday morning...

Very professionalally 2doored with, what looked like, mk3 Cavalier door handles, custom rear wings and nose treatment too.

Now then, this was a treat, when this pulled into the carpark (thats right, this drove into the carpark!) the earth seemed to shake.

I had to bide my time to get a clear shot of it as, understandably, it had a crowd around it for most of the evening.

That Consul is lovely - I normally prefer customs like that without their bumpers but in this case i reckon a bit of chrome wouldn't have looked half bad.

How on earth did the dragster creation get there? Surely it didn't come up the M62?!?

There was chat of it being offloaded from a trailer the otherside of J1 of the M621. Either way, there was a point where it was sat in traffic at the lights. Legend.

BIG RESPECT and all that to him - I bet it used about twenty quids worth of fuel just waiting at the lights.

That Beetle-caravan combo is great .
