How the rich live

Few years back, when I was looking at houses in NZ, I was amazed to find good sized garages and workshops included. My personal favorite was a 10 car garage (detached). Prices were somewhat affordable too (3.3 NZD to the £ IIRC).

I'd have been happy just to have built a personal workshop with living accommodation!

Most criminals are stupid. A couple in my town were, on the face of it, a catering manager and a cleaner. With a 5 bed house, a £500k duplex apartment, a Ferrari F430 and a couple of droptop Mercs. The real earner? VAT fraud. The Criminal Assets folks took the lot.

O/T: My cousin was born in Hamilton General Hospital

Most criminals are indeed mongs who aren't clever enough to use the proceeds in a sensible way. Only multi-layered, established crime organisations can manage this, together with the required money-laundering, properly (that's why Mafia interests are involved in many legitimate businesses, too).

Speaking of the rich, and before people start swearing at us for being off-topic, I think Warren Buffett used to drive something that was about 11 years old which, for a billionaire, has to be considered MEGA-shite.

That department has been outsourced to Romania. I 'm in charge of the team that persuades scrapyards to sign our £3,000 receipts for each Alfa 33 they scrap for us.
