Might well be going back down to my local scrappy, in the next few days, I'll have a look.

Didn't see any Kangoo's today, is the sender common to any other Renners? There was a fair selection of Clios, Megs + Lagunas.

If these are anything like the ones on other french cars of the era (valeo stuff) there will be a small circuit board with tracks that the arm moves upon. This is the bit that wears out, and its pretty universal and simple enough to swap (2 or 3 wires and a few clips)

 

I've swapped a couple and they take literally seconds if you have a soldering iron. If possible, measure the resistance with a multimeter at full and empty and compare them to make sure they are compatible, but I'd put money that one from a similar age clio (same platform?) would be a STR8 SWOP

I've found fuel senders are generic in most 90s diesels.

156 quid? How much is it at the dealer?? Speaking of dealers, a call to them may be a gr9 way of finding out about compatibility with other Renners.
